Blogging is also an efficient way to engage students in conversation with each other, and it makes students who are unwilling to speak up in class feel more comfortable writing their thoughts and responding to the thoughts of others in a blog or comment format. Using blogs allows students with different learning styles to interact with the class.
I have no suggestion to professor Chris because using blogs in class is a good idea, although its a lot of writing, I can't complain since this is a writing class. I think he made an excellent job giving students engaging topics, and giving enough time for blogs grading. Its a nice technique and you should continue doing it with the coming students. I wish you all the best and good luck in your future classes. It was a good experience being in your class.
I think the comment you said about speaking up in class and feeling more comfortable writing their thoughts and responding to the thoughts of others is a great point to make. It was very helpful to add to the discussions from class and you can get more in depth. Great point.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you that blogging helps enhance our writing skills because I personally feel it has helped me. Since the beginning when blogging was introduced to me in Eng 101 I loved it from the start. Hopefully Professor Chris keeps assigning blogs to his students.
